For some fellas, romance comes so easy. They dream, they plan, they orchestrate magical moments for love. And Kane Brown is one of those guys. But when the spirit moved him to pop the question to fiancée Katelyn Jae, he couldn’t wait.

In his defense, Kane had actually planned the perfect proposal for his bride-to-be. He tells “People” magazine that his initial plan for the big moment had “rose petals and everything like that,” but excitement evidently overtook the rising country star and that big night of romance took a detour.

Kane proposed to Katelyn while the couple was watching the decidedly unromantic flick “The Amityville Horror.”

So, instead of roses and champagne, it was popcorn and Milk Duds.

It didn’t seem to matter, though. Katelyn said yes, and this sweet couple who so obviously adore each other plan to tie the knot next fall.

Why the delay? Well, thanks in part to his first No. 1 single, “What Ifs” with longtime pal Lauren Alaina, Kane is now in high demand to perform at concert venues across the United States. In fact, unlike many country stars who are now on their holiday break, Kane has show dates on his calendar until Dec. 16.

He’s also set to hit the road early next year in support of his pal Chris Young on the “Losing Sleep Tour,” which kicks off Jan. 11 in Indianapolis. Then, when fair and festival season starts in the spring, Kane is already booked for big ones like Stagecoach, Country Fest and Country Concert in Fort Loramie, Ohio.

Although those wedding bells won’t ring until later in 2018, Kane also says that there’s nothing special about being married that he’s looking forward to. Wait a minute, though. He tells “People” that “basically, we’re already married. We just need the paperwork.”

OK, we get that, but we’re also looking forward to hearing about their nuptials, and seeing those dreamy photos of Katelyn in her gown, as well as the flowers, the cake and all the other details, including the music.

Ooooh, speaking of music, wonder if Kane and Katelyn will play his uber-romantic new single, “Heaven,” during the ceremony or at the reception. That could sure make up for the soundtrack to “The Amityville Horror” during the proposal!

We’re also looking forward to seeing Kane perform at the Rare Country Awards on Dec. 14. In addition to performing, this big-hearted Georgia boy is also nominated for two big awards—Duet of the Year for “What Ifs” with Lauren, and Male Vocalist of the Year. It’s up to you to decide the winners, so vote now through Dec. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com. Winners will be revealed during the livestreamed concert event on Dec. 14 in Nashville.
