Well well well… it seems as though Megan Trainor has a soft spot for country music because it seems lately that she has been working with a lot of country artists. She worked with Brett Eldredge on a song on his Christmas Album last year, she co-wrote “I Like The Sound Of That” with Rascal Flatts and she also co-wrote Lauren Alaina’s song “Road Less Traveled” which is now a number one song!
Wednesday night Megan and Lauren went to celebrate the accomplishment of having a number one song at a restaurant in Nashville called Sutler Saloon. And it was definitely a “Lauren Alaina” party because the guests were issued their own onesies at the door.
“We were so happy and so proud of the message and how beautiful it sounded…we loved the song so much,” Meghan said. “I’m so glad it finally made it to number one.”
“Road Less Traveled” is an empowerment anthem about loving yourself and not letting anyone else define you or keep you from doing you. The chorus goes: “If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle/Don’t be afraid, take the road less traveled.”
Meghan said, “It’s so magical when you have something that actually means something and it’s on the radio and we need more of that every single day.”
Yesterday was a dream. I had my very first number one party. This girl flew into town to celebrate the fact that she, @telemitry, and I wrote a number one song together. I thought she deserved her very own post for pulling off the biggest surprise of all time. @meghan_trainor thank you for being there. It meant the word to me. This picture is perfect because we are in onesies just like back in the day in your living room. 👯 Some things never change. Ps: I'm sorry for the amount of pictures I'm going to post from the party. It was one of my favorite days I've ever lived. #RoadLessTraveled #numberonesie @tipsyelves
